Homemade Science with Bruce Yeany | NEW centripetal swinging bucket variation @YeanyScience | Uploaded October 2024 | Updated October 2024, 6 days ago.
This is a combination of the classic centripetal demonstration of swinging a bucket filled with water combined with the upside down water glass experiment demonstrating atmospheric pressure. it is centripetal force that is causing the bucket to move in a curved path and inertia of the water being accelerated in that path that keeps it inside the bucket. When the ball is placed on top of the water filled bucket and turned upside down it is a combination of reduced pressure inside the bucket and atmospheric pressure pushing against the ball that is keeping the water from coming out.
