The BMW M2 CS has just rewritten the record books at the Nürburgring! With an official lap time of 7:25.5, this high-performance coupe is now the fastest compact car to ever conquer the Green Hell, dethroning the Audi RS3 and leaving the standard M2 in the dust.

From the upgraded 3.0-liter twin-turbo inline-six engine boasting an extra 50 horsepower and 50 Nm of torque, to a weight reduction of 30 kilograms, the M2 CS is engineered for pure speed. But that’s not all—the switch from Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires to Pirelli P Zero Trofeo RS rubber played a crucial role in shaving 13.2 seconds off the regular M2’s time.
