There are interview questions that are older than you, like this one, for example.
Given a list of integers, move all zeros to its end.
You probably know that solution, which is also older than you.
Progress through the list using two indices.
Whenever you encounter a zero, and the other index is lagging, overwrite its element.
Put one fresh zero back.
This algorithm works, I know that.
But could you explain to me why it works?
What makes it correct?
What corner cases does it cover?
Another approach is to let the programming language and its libraries do the algorithms.
In C#, ask the list to remove zeros and tell how many there were.
Prepare a sequence of that many zeros aside.
Append those zeros to the end of the list.
This works, too.
