Guess the pattern!
I will give you a class - a stripped-down model of a book.
There will also be an interface for goods that can report their weight.
The book will implement this interface.
There are no design patterns here, yet.
But then, there comes another class.
It models a package containing a certain quantity of goods.
The package has a weight of its own.
And it also implements that same interface.
The package will calculate the total weight of goods inside and add its own weight to it.
What pattern is this?
Is it a strategy? A chain of responsibility? Come on!
Maybe. But why implement the interface?
I will instantiate one book and then wrap two into a package.
Did you uncover the answer?
Yes, it is the decorator.
Package decorates the goods. It is the decorator.
