Hey there peeps,
I was asked to respond to this comment and instead of wasting my time commenting on the thread and inciting a riot there, I'll waste my time making a video about it and do that here.
I have been working video production about 15 years now including experience in visual effects, editing, directing, cam op, assistant directing for pilots or shows, floor direction and control jobs like shading or audio for live broadcast news and infomercials... even doing script editing for a kids show.
I take advice provided via internet or wherever very seriously because I have been duped in the past into believing things that i shouldn't have.
In this case... telling people, and I might add very impressionable people, that they shouldn't bother with tools like LEDs just because something else (tungstens) is better in 1 way (Color reproduction) is just not helpful for video makers. Thinking this way will lead you into trouble more often than not.
Tungsten lights and LED lights are both useful in their own ways.
If you are upset by the fact, I apologize for your being upset about real life production needs. I'm not trying to be combative, but I do think that video creators and people trying to help this community ought to clarify things appropriately to prevent newer video makers from making mistakes.
Don't make the same mistakes I made kids, make different ones ;)
