Friendly Review of the Netgear Orbi (amzn.to/2oSID88)FW version 2.2.1.212 & FW version 2.3.0.32 which came out in February 2019. The Firmware update adds the following features: Stronger admin password requirements, customer firmware pull, IP reservation from 64 to 253 devices, and Netgear Armor support for the Orgi 50 series (RBK50, RBK53, RBK50V, RBK52W). Netgear Armor is similar to a firewall an anti-virus built into your router. Netgear Armor is powered by Bitdefender, so you can also install it on your devices for protection on and off your home network.
Firmware version 2.3.0.32 also had some stability and bug fixes for ethernet backhaul (wired backhaul), general stability and bug fixes, fixes for the attached devices page, IPV6 fixes, special character fix for SSIDs, and more.
