oriOta here.
Here's a vocal cover of Neko Hacker's "From Zero" feat. Rika, with original translated lyrics.
It would eventually come to this one day.

I did this for Neko Hacker's 4th anniversary since their debut. (Congratulations to you two, again!)
A while back, I started putting out covers of this lovely duo's songs. Maybe my stuff wasn't the best, but I still put a lot of work into them and wanted to share it.
After all, their mission is to spread Japanese music to the world! And I wanted to help in a way I can.
Stumbling into this band has been life-changing as another part of my messed up taste gets another sweet addition. And I've finally been feeling confident about this voice.
So really. Congratulations to Neko Hacker for four years of music - here's to many more!

This song... it's a really good way to debut; this being Neko Hacker's first EP is proof that you can pull something amazing off even during your first try.
It's a song that basically speaks to me as if - someone out there knows we are here. Me, you, them... First of all, we have to appear. From Zero.
Well, the song is an homage to what was one of the most popular scenes in the light novel Re:Zero. But I never watched the anime (at least, I am planning to!) Still though, do you see where I'm going at?
I'll admit right away that some of the lyrics were hard to make out since they weren't listed, but the above revelation helped me out on that.
Also, this translation is over a year old. Quite a lot of covers I made (and even uncovered songs too) have had translations like this too.
Even though technically this translation of mine has "existed" somewhere on the internet for that long, I really went and waited in advance. And now, it's a reality.

I even wrote all of this description in advance! There was a little inside joke I had with a friend revolving the title of this song, which I never explained to a circle of other friends... until now! (Hi!)
I will also admit that this was one reason why I chose to wait for the 4th anniversary instead of putting it out last year on the 3rd. The other reasons being - I was busy and totally not confident.
Yet despite the year of planning, I only actually started working on this five days before the deadline!
If you read my description spiel in the previous cover, you'll know I was in another country for a while. I just returned one week before this was posted.
There was also some rather... unfortunate news that I don't want to bother you too much with. Just know that it had some very unlucky timing.
Still though, I wanted to make this something special for myself. I decided to try to step up my cover game here this time. (i.e. this is the first time I actually bothered with harmonies)
From here on out... I'll work even harder and make newer stuff.
I'm not going to abandon most of the things I already do - I still am part of the CH community, for example.
But it's time I actually rise instead of staying stagnant, after appearing and setting this standard that I created.
I hope I can bring these new skills over.
From Zero.

Once again, thank you Neko Hacker for your four years of work.
Know that your music has inspired more than zero people to pursue something.
I wish you and those people many more years ahead...
