For those who may not know what a "TAS" is, T.A.S. (Tool Assisted Speedrun/Superplay) is the process of playing a game, while using tools to manipulate many factors of a game, in order to create a desired outcome. This can come in many forms, including presenting the outcome of a difficult trick in a game. Or in most cases, TASes are used to create theoretical perfect speedruns, whether pushing game mechanics to their limits, or showing off the best that a human can possibly do (often not the same, depending on input speeds, levels of precision, or the rules of a leaderboard on speedrun.com).
The term "tools" can often refer to many aspects, such as using mods that manipulate luck factors, speed, savestates, or fully custom tools that range from giving you internal game information to allowing you to set the exact inputs that the game will make frame by frame.
More specifically to this video, this run uses an auto player mod made by the NSO modder, Frostworth.
This auto player basically runs off of code that attempts to do every action as soon as it is capable of doing so, removing mouse movement and making for the most optimal time for everything.

For information on the run itself, the previous fastest TAS was a time of 37;36.08 (youtu.be/TSEOZOZ9i2k). Meaning that this TAS saved a total of 4;11.930.
So what's different enough to make such a large time difference?
- First, the old TAS was done in English, mainly because English is the world language, so more people can follow along (or follow along better). This one is done is Traditional Chinese.
Traditional Chinese (and most non English languages) are much faster when it comes to moments where text is moving slowly. Best example is Galactic Express or Do You Love Me? (This also applies to Runaway Angel and Rainbow Girl, but we do a skip for those cutscenes).
But where a few languages shine the most is skipping streams. When skipping streams, KAngel will often say 1 line of dialog before the stream ends, but Chinese (and others) can skip a stream without a single word of dialog. Even if this doesn't seem like a lot, the time adds up over the course of minutes and doing lots of streams.
- Second, a new(ish) cutscene skip during Internet Overdose.
There is a well known glitch, referred to as "Day Skip Glitch" where you can skip specific days by loading Day 1 and then going back to the day you wish to skip. Day Skip Glitch is very useful, as it can skip events that are normally unskippable, such as Darkness and Day 10 (if you have less than 10,000 followers).
There's also a known bug that only works on old versions of NSO, where you can skip the end Day 28 of Internet Overdose by stacking events on top of each other, and it skips the poem that appears (which also turns the final cutscene into a normal stream).
These 2 concepts (Day Skip and skipping Day 28) have never been put together until recently, but now that they are, we can skip Day 28 and not deal wit the long poem. Saving ~12 seconds.
- Third... Caching?
It's not fully understood yet, but there is a weird thing where doing multiple runs through the whole game seems to keep assets still loaded into memory, which makes everything load a little bit quicker that they normal would. Over the course of half an hour, this saves at least minute or 2, as far as we are currently aware.
