Four dangerous collapses. That's what Justin and I faced as we made our way deeper into an abandoned mine by exploring an underground drift tunnel that had been recently dug open by previous explorers. You may recognize the mine in this video because I explored and documented other parts of it by myself a couple months ago. The mine is the Wrong Way Reed Mine, and it has multiple levels with literally miles of tunnels. Silver was mined here long ago, and the stopes in the mine are exceptionally huge and very deep. Once we reached the fourth collapse on our route, we had to turn around because the collapse was just too sketchy and too dangerous to crawl through. There was open tunnel beyond that we would have liked to explored, but the collapse wasn't worth the risk. In this video, we'll show you just how compromised and dangerous the wooden support timbers are in this mine.
