I feel as if I were trying to be manipulated by nature in order for it to fulfill its purpose: reproduction. Maybe some might find this enjoyable and for them life and reproduction has been a great experience, but that is not the case for everyone. Perhaps there is a purpose to life, but I do not see it. I see it as an endless chain of suffering and pain, with some joy mixed into it.
I forgot to mention another way in which I think nature deceives us: in thinking we can/will undo the wrongs done to us through the life of our children. Some might think "my life has been crappy, but I will have children and give them everything I didn't have/experience and this will somehow make up for the bad experiences of my childhood." I think it is unfair to bring a child into this world in order for you to somehow make your "wrongs" right. Our desire for justice can make us want to procreate in order to live through our children the lives we wish we would have lived ourselves.
