100일간의 정기국회 개막 입법 예산 청문 곳곳 뇌관

The National Assembly has entered the second half of its four-year term — launching 100 days of debate over next year’s budget and a slate of contested bills.
The ruling Democratic Party plans to advance legislation on inflation, housing, small business support and capital market reform, while the main opposition People Power Party says it will challenge what it calls the government’s unilateral push for legislation.
The parties are also set to clash over the government’s record 800-trillion-won-plus budget, worth around 577 billion U.S. dollars — with the DP backing increased spending for economic recovery and the PPP pledging major cuts.
Confirmation hearings for six newly nominated Cabinet ministers and a government audit starting in October are also expected to fuel further clashes in the months ahead.
