The U.S. and Iran traded fresh strikes Tuesday, raising fears of a wider escalation in their six-month conflict.
President Trump called the U.S. attacks “justified” and warned of even bigger strikes if Tehran retaliates again.

The U.S. and Iran exchanged fresh attacks Tuesday as hostilities flared again in a conflict that has now stretched for more than six months.
U.S. Central Command said American forces struck targets in Iran in response to Tehran’s attempts to attack commercial shipping and U.S. forces in the Middle East.
President Donald Trump said the strikes targeted Iranian radar systems and were also retaliation for what he called Iran’s failed attempt to place sea mines in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iran responded by launching ballistic missiles toward U.S. positions in Jordan.
Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said it targeted an American base near Jordan’s Gulf of Aqaba coast.
Jordan’s military said it intercepted 10 missiles, while three others landed in unpopulated areas.
Iranian state media, meanwhile, said U.S. strikes hit civilian areas along Iran’s southern coast, including a civilian airport.
A strike on a home in Kuhestak, where a wedding was being held, killed five people, including a child, and wounded at least 68 others, according to local officials.
However, Trump defended the latest U.S. attack as “justified” and warned that Washington could launch even larger strikes if Tehran retaliates further.
In a Truth Social post, Trump also cited Iran’s firing of eight missiles at a U.S. military base in Jordan as a reason for the operation.
Tehran, however, is signaling that further retaliation remains possible.

"The General Staff of the Armed Forces and the Khatam al-Anbiya Central Headquarters announced in a statement that, in response to the US military's aerial aggression against points in Sistan and Baluchestan and Hormozgan, the armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran will deliver crushing and shattering blows to the weak and evil American enemy."

The warning also came after Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said a U.S. strike on Larak Island on Sunday killed and wounded several Iranian fighters and civilians.
