Meet Elisabeth Goh who joined the Hornsby Heights Rural Fire Brigade in 2018 thanks to her mum’s encouragement for her to belong to something bigger and give back to the community.
Elisabeth has a strong focus on community engagement in her role with the brigade. She encourages her fellow members to find what they’re passionate about at their brigade, whether it’s community engagement, engineering, catering, or several other roles.
Based on some of her experiences, Elisabeth has created photo essays where she shares what it’s like to be a firefighter with the NSW RFS.
