This is a Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 model POV based on photo renderings of a concept circa 2007. It's also a re-post of a video I wasn't happy with, from 2025. Astronauts would board one of a couple small coaster cars at the top of the launch gantry. The cars then ran straight down the side for about 300 feet, then into a bunker well away from the launch pad. The original Space.com article on this subject stated "Once completed in 2012, the NASA 'coaster will be the world's third tallest, after Kinda Ka at Six Flags Great Adventure, Jackson, New Jersey, and Top Thrill Dragster at Cedar Point in Sandusky, Ohio. " As of 2026, Kinda Ka is defunct and Top Thrill 2 (a rework of the original Top Thrill Dragster) is questionable. While this escape system was never built, here is an idea of what it might be like to ride such an exclusive coaster credit. Thank you for checking out the video and my theme park historian hobby.
