Victimhood can be a toxic mindset that can hold you back from living a fulfilling life.
While it is understandable to feel victimized when you have been wronged, constantly dwelling on the past and the ways in which you have been mistreated can be harmful to your mental and emotional health.
When you see yourself as a victim, you may feel powerless and unable to take control of your life.
This can lead to feelings of anxiety, depression, and helplessness. In order to move forward and grow as a person, it is important to let go of the victim mentality and take responsibility for your own actions and choices.
This can be a difficult process, but with support and a willingness to change, you can overcome the negative effects of victimhood and find strength and resilience within yourself.

![Stop comparing yourself to others and be more present. Get off the hedonic treadmill.
Why do we get caught up scrolling and stuck in social comparison? We think more and more that were somehow missing out (FOMO) or we shouldnt be where we are.
We get stuck on the hedonic treadmill of needing the next thing.
If were more present, we can go the direction that matters from a place of calm.
[TRANSCRIPT]:
So imagine you walk into a mall, and you see that map with that little dot that says You Are Here.
And somebody walks up next to you and they go, Here?! Im not supposed to be here Im supposed to be in the Apple Store! What am I doing here?!
Youd probably think that person is completely crazy.
But this is what we do all day long as humans.
We think that we should be somewhere else than where we are.
We think we should have more money, or we should have a house, or we should find a partner.
The idea that we should be somewhere else and theres something missing and that theres this huge chasm between us and what we should be or should have thats what causes us pain.
So the point here is: be here.
From here, you can go anywhere, but start here.
Then you have a starting point.
You have a place to start for the things you want to change in your life. Stop comparing yourself to others and be more present. Get off the hedonic treadmill.](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/Kor2oRZico0/mqdefault.jpg)
