In 2012, NASA asked students around the world to suggest names for the asteroid known as (101955) 1999 RQ36. Then nine-year-old Michael Puzio came up with the winning name, Bennu: bit.ly/2iG5f9f.

Fast forward to 2017, and OSIRIS-REx is on its way to collect samples from Bennu, which will be returned to Earth for study in 2023.
