#Nagaland Governor Nand Kishore Yadav visited Wokha on August 13 and interacted with district officials, community leaders, and stakeholders at the DC Office Conference Hall. He called for people-centred development, focusing on education, healthcare, connectivity, livelihoods, youth empowerment, and preservation of Lotha culture, while highlighting Wokha's potential in agriculture, tourism, and handicrafts, and encouraging eco-tourism and conservation, citing the Amur Falcon initiative as an example. During the visit, local leaders also submitted two key representations-one seeking National Highway status for the Wokha-Bokajan road, and another requesting a hand-weaving centre to support women and youth through traditional craft and skill development.
