Keith NoneyaHow to Clean Metal Electronic Equipment Cases & CoversKeith Noneya2024-02-07 | Description: This video is how I clean the exterior of electronic equipment, what I use & why. When I make a new purchase I usually take the time to clean new item. This inspection is very important for four primary things for you. 1. It finds simple mechanical problems that could damage your equipment when it’s powered on. 2. It helps you become familiar with the knobs and controls. 3. It removes stickers or debris over the vents to help it breath better. 4. It makes it look better. Here’s a list of items I use: 1. General purpose cleaner like: Mr. Clean, 409, or dish soap and water about 1 part soap and 3 parts water. Do not spray your test equipment directly. It gets into the cracks and parts sensitive to water and soaps. Spray it on the rag or dip the rag or cloth into it. 2. Isopropyl Alcohol: A little more aggressive and can help gently remove sticker residue, permanent Sharpe Ink & markers. If it’s been on there long enough, soak a paper towel and let it sit on the area. The Towel & Alcohol will pull it into the rag pores. The Con is if left it on to long the finish may start to dissolve finishes & paints. Test a area that won’t be seen. 3. Brake Cleaner or Carburetor Cleaner: Works wonders, but VERY Aggressive on whatever it’s on. Like circuit boards, coatings, Rubber & Pot O-Rings. Use it stuff sparingly on the end of a tooth pick so it can be applied right to a needed area. 4. Paper towels. Cheap throw away’s, so you can use a fresh one every time. Cons: They can leave bits of paper towel in areas can get into switches and pots. Know where the bits are going. 5. T-Shirt or Cotton Rags. They are capable of cleaning without larger bits that can get into things, can be washed & reused. They can leave micro fibers in your gear. 6. Lint Free Rags: These have the best attributes of T-Shirts or Cotton Rags. The best option, but are more expensive. 7. Acid brushes. Pros: One of my favorite tools. Can be made for soft scrubbers with long bristles or aggressive when cut short, or any manner of stiffness in between. So short bristles cut into heavy debris, and long they can sweep micro particles away. Resistant to most cleaners & chemicals. Cons: The metal sides can scratch components off a board or damage parts & surfaces. They fill up with contaminants and can be redeposited on areas you’re trying to clean. 8. Canned Air: Canned air is great in that it can get places that brushes and items can’t get, that might even be damaged it a physical items was used. It’s also usually very dry air, unlike some shop air systems. It does have a few drawbacks: The propellant can get into things if the can is shaken or turned upside down or angled. As the can is used it creates moisture on the outside of the can that can drip into the equipment. It can also push items into cracks like Switches, Relay Contacts and Pot contact areas. Always cover areas that you don’t want debris in when using the air. 9. Red Erasers. They are great for cleaning the contacts on boards that have flat edge connectors. Just make sure you wipe from middle of the pad to the edge and ONLY in line with the trace. If you go from the edge inwards or from side to side they can rip up a trace or pad. Gentle action and some common sense will allow them to be a great cleaning too. Also be careful, like paper towels the eraser particles can get inside switches, contacts and pots. I hope that helped you learn some safe and known accepted ways to clean electronic equipment inside and out. If you learned something and found the video useful please give the video a thumbs up. The basic measurement process is the same for all headlight assemblies on any vehicle, including this assembly. This video, including the basics, shows the specifics that apply to Part Numbers: 2LH-F250991PCG-RS, 2LH-F250991PCJM-RS & G7846816. Sold by Zoro, eBay and SPEC-D TUNING, Instyleparts and many others. The difference in this assembly and others is that most Headlight Assemblies have a screw to adjust the beam while these do not. So unless you know how to adjust them you’re stuck in whatever position you mounted them in. This video shows you where and how to adjust them to the proper height.

Want a direct Headlight Assembly plug and play upgrade with no cutting? Check these out on eBay or Zoro for under $160.00. Or on Amazon for $138.54 here; amazon.com/dp/B01H05QII0/?th=1 I think you’ll really enjoy the look, these should get your attention! Some sellers assemblies don’t come with the 9007 bulbs so you may need to reuse the old ones, or install some AUXITIO LED bulbs here; youtube.com/watch?v=svE8Be-Su58&t=497s
Pros: - No CUTTING or Modifications needed to install them, A HUGE PLUS! It’s Plug & Play & If you want to revert back to your stock or similar style you can easily do it, It’s NOT permanent. - Price is very reasonable when compared to similar units. - Better Lighting than stock. - If you have to work on or replace an assembly with the same PN or another one you don’t have to remove the batteries after the initial installation, even if the style changes. Cons: - To change the Headlight Bulb you have to remove the top clips & loosen the bottom screws. - To change the Parking Bulb a complete removal is necessary, when stock is just two screws. So two clips and two screws isn’t that bad, besides other one pieces units are like this as well. - NO quick beam alignment screws, you have to pull the upper clips and adjust the mounting Screw Nuts. A bit of a hassle but once done you don’t have to do it again.
Conclusion: If you’re on a budget and don’t mind playing with the weird alignment, or having to remove the whole assembly to replace the bulbs, then these are your best option.

Keith NoneyaJessicas Family restaurant Williams AZKeith Noneya2021-06-21 | Hi folks this is a quick look at Jessica's Family Restaurant in Williams Arizona, the "Gateway to the Grand Canyon". It serves; American, Greek & Italian food. Going East on RT 66 it's past Safeway and the Highlander Motel on the the right as you come into town. When we pass through Williams on the way to see my dad we stop in town to visit Gregory and his restaurant. The food is really good and the decor is typical western 50-60's style. The staff is always friendly and helpful. However I must warn you that you may take a liking to Gregory if you meet him. He's one of the nicest folks I've ever met. The only bad thing about Greg's restaurant is the same problem with ALL the restaurants in Williams during Tourist Season, the cost. The average cost of breakfast or any meal in town after tax and tip is 20-30 a plate. We paid $21.00 a plate here and that's on par with the rest of the town, so if you're going to eat in Williams bring your wallet, you'll need it, I'm not joking Williams is expensive, especially the Pine restaurant! Well I hope you guys enjoy the quick video Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith NoneyaHow to remove Permanent Marker from metal and plasticsKeith Noneya2021-01-09 | Hi folks, you can remove all or most of permanent marker from metal and plastics if you soak it with, 90% or higher, Isopropyl Alcohol and then rub it with a paper towel. If it's a little stubborn you can use an acid brush with half the bristles cut off and scrub it. Although it's not always recommended you can also use Brake Cleaner, Goobegone or Carburetor Cleaner as well. Only when using the last chemicals listed you have to get on and off quickly or the chemicals can eat or soften the plastics or painted areas. Hope this little tip helps you folks. Keith Noneya1995 Pathfinder D21 No Dash Lights No Crank Fusible 2402201G00 Link Fix Part 2Keith Noneya2020-06-27 | This is a long video on how to do a short term or long term repair the Fusible Links on a 80-90's Nissan D21 truck or Pathfinder. I'm sure it applies to most Nissan's of that era. I take you from how to find out if it's bad to how to carefully pull it apart and fix it with new Fusible Link wires or temporary wires of the same gauge. The wires I used in this video are temporary and should NOT be used long term. The reason is not that the gauge is wrong, it's that the jacket is NOT designed to hold the fire and melted wire internally. IF you don't use the correct fusible link wires the jacket can catch on fire when it melts and theoretically catch something else on fire in the engine compartment. So change it as soon as practical. Also monitor them for signs of over heating until you can change them out. The video is long so just skip through the parts to the ones you want to see. You can buy complete wired units on eBay or the dealer if you can find the part number. The part number for the 1995 Nissan D21 or Pathfinder is 2402201G00. Thanks to a astute comment from YouTuber "Kenabi", who informed me about Color Coded Fusible Link wires. So I looked them up, I now know about them, and I'm passing the information on to you. - Learn about them here: lifewire.com/car-fuses-and-links-explained-4018163 - Learn more about them here: awcwire.com/allied-university/informatic/fusible-links - Learn more & Order them or connector parts here: whiteproducts.com/downloads/WhiteProductsCatalog.pdf Part 1 of the video on how I discovered it is here; studio.youtube.com/video/A51r0wbxV-o/edit
****** Note ****** that NISSAN in 1995 did NOT follow these color codes so you will have to determine on your own what fusible link amperage you need, then order it, Note the color will be different from what the vehicle originally came with since Nissan did NOT use the same color code as used today. It is my recommendation that you just replace it with the correct fusible link as soon as possible.

Best Wishes and Blessings. Keith NoneyaHow to tell if your Nissan CVT is going bad 2014 Murano SlippingKeith Noneya2020-06-03 | Finally fixed, with a re-manufactured transmission. *** Update 22 June 20: St. Tammany Transmission attempted to service and just change the Stepper Motor out, as I requested, and it still had problems with slippage. So that means that the Pressure Regulator valve or the little balls on the pulley shafts were binding up or both. So I had to change it out with a re-manufactured transmission, NOT REBUILT. They did not charge me for the Service but did charge me the $150.00 for the Stepper Motor and that is more than fair. I asked them to try the service and stepper motor at a approximate cost of $389.00 plus tax. So they ended up eating the fluid and filter and I ended up eating the Stepper Motor, which I assume they would keep clean up and re-use, a fair trade. The total cost of the transmission and the stepper came out to $4,077.00 dollars with a 36 month 50,000 mile warranty. If you knock off the $150.00 that's $3,927.00. Really not bad, as the dealer wanted $5,200.00 to put a new one in, with the same warranty. Lesson learned, DON"T SKIP THE TRANSMISSION SERVICE ON YOUR CVT & don't drive it like a dragster jumping off the line at the drag races. ** Update 11 June 20: I had St. Tammany Transmission facebook.com/AsapSTTammanyTransmission take a look at them. They pulled the pan and found virtually almost no metal shavings at all in it. I told them as soon as it gave me trouble I babied it home, NOT over revving it, meaning when I saw the revs going up I backed off the throttle. They said that probably prevented the tranny from excessive damage and probably saved the rest of it. The pulled the code 1776 on it and the computer said the Stepper Motor was bad. So they are going to service the transmission, put a Nissan Stepper in it and see if that fixes it. I should find out around Tuesday afternoon. * Update 03 June 20: Nissan of Slidell says I need a new transmission, $5,200.00 dollars. Oh nooooo!!! So I'll look into getting it rebuilt or look around for a good used one. I'll keep you all informed of what I find out! This is my 2014 Murano on the way home from work I was driving at approximately 70 mph. Take note of the tachometer, the RPM's slowly changing up and down between 2K & 4K. Here are some more symptoms: 1. The transmission does not want to move or moves slow from a dead stop, like pulling out from a stop sign it doesn't want to move. It acts like it's in neutral at first then slowly pics up speed. 2. Once it starts to move it almost drives normal except RPM's vary. 3. Once moving pressing harder on the accelerator the transmission acts like its shipping or moving into a lower gear. Meaning the RPM's go up but the car doesn't go faster right away. 4. If you take off to fast you'll get a couple of big bumps from the acceleration. - What to do if you have these symptoms: A. Gently, not over revving it, take it home and PARK IT IMMEDIATELY.
B. Set up an appointment with a transmission shop, NOT the dealer! The dealer will tell you it can't be fixed, IT CAN in some instances.
C. If you didn't tear it up and keep driving it you MAY get by with: - A service & a Stepper motor replacement, about $400.00 dollars vice $4,000.00 non-dealer replacement, or a $5,700.00 dealer new transmission. - A service & a Solenoid Pack replacement. about $1,200.00
D. If you tear it up some but not to bad it will need a rebuild, or a refurbished transmission. They run anywhere from $3,600.00 to $4,200.00 depending on who you have do it. E. If you tear it up beyond repair by driving it and over revving it, you'll have to replace it. That will cost you around again, $3,700.00 to $5,700.00.
F. You may get a used one from the junk yard for around $1,200.00 plus shipping. G. You can rebuild it yourself for around $1.500.00 to $2,200.00 depending on how bad you tore it up. That's provided you have the skills and tools to do the job. Price listed included the special tools.

He ran off staggering and we never saw him again. Be nice to those outside kitties they may end up being a real treat in life. They kill rodents, and bugs as well. If they get to be a bother your local Animal Control can loan you a trap with a deposit that will be refunded when you bring the cage back. Thanks for watching. I hope you find your little Buddy in life. Best Wishes & Blessings. Keith NoneyaHow to Detect Low AC pressure Easily Ie F250 or F350Keith Noneya2020-04-04 | Don't have the equipment to check, no problem, here's a quicky vid on how to check for low refrigerant in your truck or car. There are a lot of things in an AC systems that can cause it to work improperly, but LOW refrigerant is the most common. It’s, & USUALLY the easiest to fix, even for the common person. This video is a quick guide and is NOT intended to cover EVERY possible problem. It's the quick & dirty check for the average person who doesn't have hundreds of dollars of equipment. The major cause of Low Refrigerant is a slow leak. ALL systems leak a little but over time they should last for 5-10 years before it leaks down enough to cause problems. "IF" the system has NOT been opened, lines disconnected, you can most of the time use a quick charge kit and you’re good to go. “IF” you opened the system, lines disconnected, you''ll most likely have to pull a vacuum on it AFTER you replace the seals, and Dryer/Accumulator. After repairs, make sure and do a good inspection on the lines and joints where the system connects together. You'll want to look for a dark oily area covered with dirt, or an area that is bright green. If you find such an area, change the seal or that component. The Condenser behind the grill if it gets hit with a large sharp rock can easily be punctured and you'll see that dark dusty oily area where the seal was broken and the refrigerant leaked out. Anyways do your homework BEFORE removing any parts. YOU CAN RENT vacuum pump and an AC gauge set to do the job correctly. Some Automotive stores like AutoZone will rent them for FREE!. You put down a deposit on the equipment and when you bring it back you get ALL of our deposit back! If you open a system replace the dryer/accumulator to be safe, as a minimum. If you just opened it for part of the day and you have already replaced it, you can just pull a vacuum and it should be good. Hope this helps point you all in the right direction. * On a side note. Go check out the comments for Mike Smith below. Some GOOD info there as well. ** I'm working on a series on how to completely rebuild the AC system by replacing EVERY item in the engine bay related to the AC System. I shot the videos already, I just need to edit them! *** I'll show how to: - Replace ALL the components under the hood. - Find & test for leaks. - Pull a vacuum. - Recharge it. - List ALL the Part Numbers. - Where to find the parts cheap and get access to the tools WITHOUT BUYING THEM! After I played around with the display board it started working and I couldn't get it to stop working like it was before. As far as the 100mv range it turns out other than the switches being intermittent the 100mv range was probably working all the time. Thanks to Bruno who commented on a few of the videos in the series, I found out the 100mv only comes out the back connector J301 (round one) pins 2 & 3, pin 1 being Guard. I also show the 100mv path up to the op amps and some mods I made to the schematic. Oh a quick note on the schematic at time index 17:28 thru 17:53 the Cathode of CR14 connects to V7 not V1, this has been updated in my latest schematics dated 12 Sep 21 and later. - One of my my viewers made a very detailed paper and analysis of this unit here; http://www.hhenkel.de/data-precision-8200/repair-8200.html - Copies of my reworked Digital schematics can be found here; http://www.ko4bb.com/getsimple/index.php?id=manuals - If you'd like my more up to date copies you can email me here; keith_noneya@att.net Hope it helps someone.
