MYTHOS is an original song by Dj Dest inspired by the dreary Greek myth of Marsyas, the Satyr who was a master of the diaulos (double reed) but dared to provoke god Apollo into a music contest, committing hubris.
MYTHOS is a musical innovation on its own, combining the soothing sound of the ancient lyre with modern live electronics and bridging two different worlds that are thousands of years apart.
The song is an original composition by Dj Dest on the live electronics and Theodore Koumartzis on his LUTHIEROS Lyre of Hermes. The video session took place at Vourvourou beach in Halkidiki, Greece.

🎙️ Who is Dj Dest?
Dj Dest has been a resident Dj and music instructor at the Alemagou Beach Bar in Mykonos (Greece) for the last ten years. His music was released worldwide from various major labels such as LUMP Records, Deep Bali Records, Minimal Mystic Records, Wanderlust Musica, Shango Records, and Rist Records.
What's more, he has been a member of Kozac, a minimal techno music project with two vinyl releases so far.
Last, Dj Dest is the founder (and current owner) of Minimal Mystic Records, a music label promoting a new concept of creativity for the artists and the electronic music scene.

🎙️ Who is Theodore?
Theodore is the youngest brother of the Koumartzis family. Being part of the family's endeavor since its early stage, he soon came to be an inspiring top-notch lyre player, constantly learning and experimenting with musicians around the world.
He is the founder of the PAUSIS Project, a curator at the SEIKILO Museum of Ancient Music in Greece (Thessaloniki), and an integral part of LUTHIEROS Music Instruments.
