This is a Marsh 4-BT Gummed Tape Dispenser, probably from the late 1970s or early 1980s. Someone gave this to my brother a long time ago. He put it in the trunk of his car to give to me and forgot about it, until he threw away the car recently... I believe it was used in a warehouse or other place for packing cardboard boxes. As the tape shoots out the front, it is heated to make it sticky, then the scissor-like cutter chops it at the requested length. This model does not seem to work, either due to a bad motor, run capacitor, or some other reason.
