Production Notes: These songs are mostly a result of figuring out how to use Suno, the DJ voice was also generated there.
"Stuck in Love" by Stan Ruby - The artist is "Stan Ruby" because the end result sounds a little Neil Diamond-esque. Once the idea of using "hostage situation" in an up-beat 1970s pop song was in my head, there was no way to turn that train around!
"Hurry Home to You" by the Jumping Spiders - Just going for some country-flavored southern rock.
"Love You A Lot" by Neil Otis - Came up with the idea after seeing a YouTube thumbnail of an old news report about a lady who cooked a meal every day for strangers.
"Life Is Strange" by Blue Pedals - Synth experiment.
"Movin' On So Fast" by the Crazy Redheads, from their album "Soup Kitchen and Disco Fries" - This was another synth experiment (Asked for CR-78, Minimoog, and Roland SH-5). Was going for a Blondie-like sound, but it ended up being a little more disco.
"Poems from the Heart" by Voyagers - Voyagers, because it sounds like Journey...
"Shipwrecked" by the Smooth Tones/John Michael Heller - The 1950s clip was an experiment in "extending" a song in our parody trailer for "Speed 2 Cruise Control" but I also tried creating a modern version of the song.
"Time Passes" by Edgewater - Already released this, but the 70s rock sound fits the countdown.
"Scratching at Your Door" by Easy Empire - The dog was literally scratching at the door as I was writing lyrics.
"Dangerous Lies" by Mark Hobson - Already released this, but felt it encapsulates the style of a radio station this countdown might have aired on back in the day.
