Footage for this video was recorded in August of 2004, during my one and only time visiting Myrtle Beach Pavilion in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. While at Dollywood the day prior, we received a call from the mayor of Myrtle Beach, asking for the assistance of ACE to be part of a news story to start a campaign to save the Pavilion. Needless to say, the campaign wasn't successful as the Pavilion has now been closed for many years. Category 5, the CCI wooden coaster was torn down and the two trains were sent to Kings Island where they ran on the modified Son of Beast until that coaster was closed and removed as well. Special thanks to Jeff Johnson and Robert &. Sam Ulrich for inviting me on a great trip.
