In this video I update my Top 5 Fountain Pens and also name 2 honorable mentions! This wasn't easy because in December of 2020 a new to me pen brand stole my heart and claimed 2 positions ... leaving me to really have to deeply consider which pens I'm currently using the most and which would earn these spots.

Question asked for the comment section: what pen should I try before next year's top five video ... any recommendations? It's funny I have a few gold nib pens (even a Platinum 3776) that at one time I though might be top pens for me but reality turned out different. I always base this video on pens I actually write with the most! My criteria is mainly about --- most used, reliability, smoothness of the nib, ease of care and affordability + availability ... the Opus 88 line is stretching it way out of my normal price range but these eyedropper pens are top quality and well worth the money in my opinion. TWSBI, Opus 88, Lamy, Jinhao and Moonman claim the top pen brand spots in my hobby experience this year!

Thank you so much for watching. This was fun to do. I had one pen I really wanted to include and it ALMOST made the line up ... that was the TWSBI Vac 700R B Iris ... I love the pen and have it in almost continuous use ... I don't love the filling system or the cleaning results so far but I DO absolutely love the smooth writing and the beauty of this pen!!!!!
