I’m opening up about the behind-the-scenes struggles of launching my new program, dealing with perfectionism, and overcoming self-doubt in a changing creative industry. If you’ve ever felt stuck, scattered in your work, or worried about remaining relevant as an artist, this one is for you.
In this honest update, I share where I’m at on my journey toward launching my upcoming intensive program, Commercial Artistry (formerly Know Your Art). Designed for intermediate illustrators who want to move from feeling unfocused to finding a clear artistic voice, the program focuses on auditing your portfolio, understanding your influences, and bringing your true self into commercial work.
I also dive into the internal battles that come with being a self-employed creative: wrestling with perfectionism, handling shifting industry algorithms, moving past post-pandemic market changes, and rebuilding confidence when launching independent projects off third-party platforms.
Ultimately, my core mission as an educator is to help illustrators discover how to find more of themselves in their work without losing clients along the way.
