To my very own surprise, the track I built myself was picked for the official "Track of the Day" selection in Trackmania. I am very excited to watch some high quality driving on my track as I decided to sit out this cup for fairness' sake to take a seat on the commentator's couch! :]
This cup was played the 9th of December 2020.

The Cup Of The Day (COTD) is a daily free-for-all competition which is played on every new Track of the Day each day at 7PM CET - available for everyone with paid access to Trackmania.
Format rundown:
- 15 minute map discovery in TIME ATTACK
- according to the time attack standings, players will be grouped in servers of 64
- on each server, a KNOCKOUT mode will be played in which last place finishers will get eliminated until the last player is standing

A TrackMania competition of a different kind is seeing the light of the eSports scene - qualifying for a showmatch played in a flying plane?! Sounds crazy indeed but this is actually reality!
In cooperation with Air France, Latécoère, NWTU and Ubisoft Nadeo, a truly special opportunity is being created for the best TrackMania² Stadium players. 10 players will qualify for the plane seats - 6 in the 1st qualifier and 4 in the 2nd one. Who will take a seat and take off?

The TrackMania Grand League returns for 2020 with the first official season! This time around, I will not be sitting on the commentators couch - instead I am on the racing tracks myself, holding up the flag for my new team Nordavind DNB.
With a slightly altered ruleset, 16 players representing different organisations from all over the globe will compete for the qualification into the playoffs where a prize pool of 10.000€ awaits.
Will 2019 champion Kappa be dethroned? Who will make it into the playoffs? Cheer for your favorite player & organisation!
Since I cannot stream my POV, I have recorded everything locally and recapped the race afterwards on my stream; giving you insight into my thought process and mindset, analysing situations and mistakes. I think thisll be quite interesting for most of you!
Third-person casts are available by multiple streamers in any case, though.
â–º Notable changes compared to the BETA season from 2019:
- 6 steps in the first phase (formerly 10 steps until the playoffs)
- 6 maps per step (formerly 5 maps per step)
- 6 laps per map (formerly 10 laps per map)
- point loss starting from map 4 onwards (formerly point loss kicked in on map 2)
- 5 minute half-time break

This is my personal best time and current world record at the time of upload on Stadium D08.

Another WR on a completely stupid map. Played this for no apparent reason and this is the result. I held the WR on this map back in MP3 so I kinda knew what to do but not really.
Not much to say about this one, its all about how well you can squeeze yourself under that sign. The more speed you maintain the better, but thats inherently going to make the followup right-left turn combination a lot more difficult to drive. Also, you want to find yourself as far left as possible after the sign hit for the best angle. Staying in the upper gear is just as important.
Im pretty sure this is still far away from the optimal strategy, I could possibly see a time close to 19 seconds drop for someone that maintains more speed and Tony Hawks his way through that part, I dont know. This record will probably get beaten sooner or later, Im already preparing myself for the next wave of freshly baked baguettes being thrown right at me.
