This video is a follow up video from my microscope camera comparison. In the video I talk a little about everything and show you my setup, tips I've learned, and tools I use.
Microscopes have a lot of parts that need to work together properly and I try to explain this.Having a hard time figuring out what Barlow lens to use, look at the bottom of this description. Links to all hardware bellow

Some of the things I talk about and show are:
1. The XCAM1080PHA microscope camera
2. Microscope CMOS camera sensors
3. Reduction lenses
4. Using the camera with no driver on a computer.
5. Barlow lenses, protecting your microscope.
6. Cleaning microscope lenses & eye pieces.
7 Tweezers
8. Microscope stand leveling
9. Recording to the SD card, using a wireless mouse.
10. Lighting.
11. Focusing left and right eye pieces to reduce eye fatigue.
12. PCB Holder.
And more Tips I hope help

Be sure you order the one that fits your microscope. Some have a screw on C-mount and others have a lip & allen key. Before ordering make sure your ordering the correct one for your microscope.

1080P Camera Model # XCAM1080PHA, 30 FPS on SD Card, 25 FPS w/ USB
Sony IMX 236(C) sensor records video/photos to SD card or computer.

Reduction lens is a 0.35X made by Sunny Optical who is the manufacturer of the microscope head:

*Note-Mine didn't work with the FMA or AMA reduction lenses, maybe because I run a wide angle Barlow & Eye pieces. But this lens is much better in quality and focal points then the cheaper ones I’ve tried.

My microscope is referred to as a SM microscope or SZM Series made by Sunny Optical, sold by others
Trinocular Simul-Focal Stereo Zoom Head - You can view from both eyes & camera port at the same time
45 Degree Inclined Head
0.7X-4.5X Objective Head
Up to 3.5X-90X Magnification based on Barlow lenses
Adjustable Left & Right eye ocular tubes
WD10X/20 Eyepieces - Wide Field, 30mm diameter
Microscope Light-LED-144B-ZK
Boom-Single-Arm Stand
Barlow Mounting Thread 1-7/8" (48mm), M48
0.5X WD165 Wide Field Barlow lens for large working distance
1.0X lens to protection from solder fumes, solder, flux fumes

About Barlow lenses:
The 0.5X worked the best for me at 6.5 to 7 inches working distance for the average desk/bench height. Mine is at 6.25 inch working distance to PCB holders.Hakko PCB holders are 3" high (75mm) for the PCB

*Understanding barlow lenses with working distance, field of view with 0.7 to 4.5 microscope head
*Working Distance = WD, the distance between the bottom of the lens and the part your focused on
*Field of View = FOV, the area you can view
Both are subject to change depending on magnification you set with objective lenses on microscope head and lens spec claimed distance rating
*NOTE:All WD is estimated depending on other variable with your setup
Lens / WD / FOV
0.3X / 7"-8.5" / 3.125"
0.5X /6.5-7.5" WD 2.5"
0.7X / 4"-5" / 1.875"
1.0X / 4" / 1.25"
1.5X / 2" / 0.625"
2.0X / 1" / 0.3125"
*NOTE: 1.0X has no magnification

0.75X/105mm
