This. Was. HARD! Not really for the subject, I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted going in. It's the fact that... well... Twilight just doesn't have the right scenes for this song. That's a terrible thing, considering this is the big number of the movie that everyone was looking forward to, but there it is. Alicorn Twilight, I should clarify.
Has anyone else noticed that Twilight has been surrounded by other ponies in every episode this season so far? I could count the number of scenes in which she's alone on one hand, and I've probably used all of them in this video. For a song like this, having Pinkie or Fluttershy or someone in the background simply wasn't going to work at all. I made an exception with Spike, because I suspect he's glued to her side for some reason, and I'll never get any more scenes of her without him.
As such I'm not too happy with how this turned out, but I'm OK with it for now. Maybe I'll return and redo it when the season is over, every instinct in me is telling me that all the scenes I could possibly want are coming in the season finale. But I've already put this movie on hold for two months and I just can't be bothered to wait any longer.
I've got footage GOLD for all the rest of the main 6 this season, but Twilight simply hasn't done anything yet. I'm sure there's s joke about her being as stiff as Celestia or Luna now that she's a Princess, but that's a little too meta for me...
I do not own My Little Pony or Disney, but I do have the Crystal of Fire and the Ocean's Chalice, and as soon as I shore up this path I can get to the... HEY! WHERE ARE YOU GUYS GOING?! BRING THAT HELICOPTER BACK HERE, WE'RE SUPPOSED TO BE A TEAM! COME ON, THE ISLAND'S SINKING!!!!
