I knew getting into this one that it was going to be hard, and I was right. While Sweetie Belle fits the role of Melody wonderfully, I just can't really get around the fact that she's not a very expressive filly. I had to use far more scenes of lip-syncing than I'd like because she just stands around more often than not, or sticks to one of the other Crusader's sides. Well, at least that will make the next song easier...
And yes, you are hearing that voice correctly. That's Tara Strong as the voice of Melody, and I "think" this is the first time that's happened in one of my sets. I was practically pulling my hair out, trying to decide if Twilight should get the part instead on that fact alone, but in the end Sweetie just fits better. But that doesn't mean I'm not supremely disappointed with myself!
Well, I guess I can always make a Disney Special later...
I do not own My Little Pony or Disney, but I have got that "thing" ya were askin' about. Ya know, that "thing". No, we shouldun talk about it here... meet me aroun' back in fifteen miutes. And don' let anyone follow ya!
