Hi
So you haven't heard of me in a while.
It's been over 7 months since my most recent video now.
And yeah, the reason for that.. is that I have quit playing Geometry Dash.
Probably wasn't a surprise for anyone, but still wanted to make it clear.

Let's cover the reasons why I stopped playing Geometry Dash.
Remember that these are not in any particular order.

1. Community
Not meaning everyone in the community. There are nice people too, but in my opinion the majority of the community is filled with annoying people, clickbaiting youtubers and drama. Honestly I can't remember more examples because it's been 7 months since I was interacting with the community, but I remember that being a big reason for quitting.

2. The Demons list collapse
Honestly one of the biggest reasons for my quitting was the amount of trashy, generic no-legacy extreme demons that were filling the top 50 and top 100. This is something that I complained a lot about towards the end, because it was such an annoying matter. Back in the day everyone in the community recognised the hardest levels by name, and every new extreme demons was super hyped and awaited. But nowadays there are many top 50 levels with absolutely no legacy. Levels that just popped out of nowhere saying "I want to be a level harder than Bloodbath". Now if I take a look at the top 50 list, Bloodbath, the level that used to be the hardest of them all, has fallen from the top 50. Ahead of it however, are levels that I have never heard of before.

3. Finger pains
Towards the end I was getting finger pains in my right index finger and thumb. My fingers started hurting after 15 minutes. Obviously that prevented me from playing, and was one reason for my quitting. (Now my fingers are fine, since the games I play nowadays don't have as much clicking :P)

4. Pressure and inconsistency
Even tho there were no people straight pressuring me to beat any super difficult levels, I kind of created the pressure for myself. I wanted to climb up in the Demons list stats viewer, I wanted to challenge myself and beat even harder levels. But when I beat something really extremely hard, I didn't feel like I was getting anything for that. A couple hunderd views and a few "GG"s in the comments. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate all of those comments. But still all this felt so pointless. And there were levels that I felt like I could beat, for example: Yatagarasu. I got close on that, closer than it may seem. Getting 55% so soon and being so consistent in the level overall made me feel like this could be it. I could be the second person in Finland to beat this. But no, that's when the inconsistency and the finger pains came. Suddenly I couldn't get to the drop of the level anymore, and my fingers started hurting after 15 minutes of playing. That really tore the will to keep playing.

6. Snowball effect
All these things together, plus all the small things that happened, decreased my motivation to play. With 'small things' I mean stuff like RobTop being slow updating the game, all the drama within the community, fps bypass -related stuff and so on. The little annoying things were getting bigger and bigger, and suddenly there were more reasons to quit than to keep playing. That's when I made my decision to stop playing Geometry Dash. Since the game is very addictive, I knew that I couldn't just "play sometimes". No, I had to completely abandon the game. I knew that I was going to miss some things. I would miss the amazing feeling of relief when I complete a level that I have put so much effort into. I would miss some community members that were so nice to me. I would miss the feeling when I have done something I thought I could never do. But still, I knew it was better for me to quit.

I want to mention some people that I have met during my Geometry Dash times. These people have been supportive, and made the whole experience a lot better. For some of them I haven't talked in a very long time, but I still wanted to mention them.

Xingtik, MirQ, Blitzmister, Toky, VIprionE1, Flare, ZesTy, Leksitoo, Efmi, NotYourFault, Sasseli, TomPP, Sylz, Rain, Zulrah, Unigeny, Honestyy, PandaHeroes, Cornexium, Iffydsu, Vorneox, Khanix, Darkstar12, Grandldude, CraftingDash

For the past 7 months it has been kinda different. I have been able to focus on Rocket League more, and I'm really enjoying the game. I have climbed from Diamond 3 all the way to champion 3 in just a few months. I even got very close to getting Grand Champion for the first time. I play the game a lot, and finally have a computer that can handle recording the game without dropping the fps. Therefore, I will most likely start making some Rocket League content in the future. I already have a few video ideas in mind. So, if you don't care about Rocket League, consider unsubscribing because that's what this channel will be about in the future.

Anyways, it's been a great, over 2 years long journey. Thank you for sticking around for such a long time :)
