So, let’s talk about the Hard Rock Riviera Maya. This place is huge—over 1,200 rooms—and it really feels like two completely different resorts in one. On the Hacienda side, it’s all about family fun. There are waterslides, a kids’ pool, and activities going on all the time, so if you’re traveling with children, they definitely won’t be bored. On the Heaven side, it’s adults-only, and honestly, it feels like a totally different world—more relaxed, more upscale, with gorgeous pools and a spa where you can really unwind.
One of the things I really enjoyed here was the variety of dining options. You’re not stuck eating the same thing every day. Whether you’re in the mood for a quick bite or a sit-down meal at one of the specialty restaurants, there’s always something different to try.
At night, the vibe completely changes. They really lean into the Hard Rock brand with live music, themed parties, and a lot of energy—it’s definitely not a boring resort.
The beach area is on the smaller side, but I liked that it’s private and has these calm saltwater lagoons where you can snorkel. It’s perfect if you’re not a strong swimmer but still want to see some fish and enjoy the water.
And for families, the kids’ club and the water slides are a big win. On the flip side, if you’re more into gaming or something different, there’s a bowling alley, laser tag, and even a HyperX gaming lounge. Honestly, that surprised me—I don’t usually see that at an all-inclusive.
Adults looking for more active fun can book golf at nearby courses designed by Jack Nicklaus and Robert von Hagge, while night owls will love that there’s a full-on nightclub on the Heaven side.
For me, the Hard Rock Riviera Maya is bold, energetic, and full of options. If you’re looking for a quiet, intimate getaway, this probably isn’t your place. But if you want a resort with constant energy, activities for every age group, and that signature Hard Rock vibe—it’s a great choice.
This resort is a superb choice for Destination Weddings, as adults can stay in Hacienda, and guests with kids can stay at Hacienda.
