Since I released some guitar-related videos some of you wanted to know more about my guitars.
With the exception of my Duesenberg Starplayer II you won't find Top Brand Name guitars in my collection. In the last 20 years or so I bought a bunch of so called budget line / entry level guitars and fleamarket guitars that were pretty much trash. I had a lot of fun thinkering with these guitars. For example I wanted to learn how to level the frets, how a pickup works, how to repaint a guitar without the fear of ruining an expensive instrument. Some of the "cheapos" ended up in the trash while others had the potential to become great instruments. A few of my favorite guitars started out as entry level guitars and now the sound and playability is as good as a Top Brand Name guitar if not better.
