My solo wild camping gear setup for 7 days that I had used for backpacking both the 'Cape Wrath Trail' and the 'West Highland Way'.
This film covers the basics of what I carried to be both safe and comfortable whilst out in the wild and remote sections of the Scottish Highlands.
During my backpacking trip of the Cape Wrath Trail the weather conditions and terrain tested a lot of my gear to the limit. Some of it may not be ultralight but was certainly lightweight and most importantly, comfortable to carry and use over multiple days of wild camping.
For a full more detailed list of everything I carried including all my filming gear please check out this link to ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐ฟ ๐๐ถ๐๐ - lighterpack.com/r/aou62a
Failures below I forgot to mention in film:
Berghaus Paclite Gore-Tex Waterproof Trousers (Only lasted a day or so before letting water in.)
Tentmeal Breakfast meals (OK, but lacked a bit of flavour and could be a bit difficult to get down first thing in the morning.)
โ I switch off all the adverts I can to make viewing more enjoyable and if you found this information useful then maybe take the time to buy me a coffee. You can using the link below.๐

![Backpacking & Wild Camping [ Traversing 11 Scottish Mountain Summits, Glenshee ]
Backpacking & wild camping trip to try and complete all 11 Munro summits around Glenshee over 36 Hours with one night wild camping.
Did know my latest challenge was going to be hard going but by the time I got to the end I hadnโt realised just how demanding. For the majority of the trip weather was on my side and the scenery stunning as always.
Overall a fantastic mini adventure and enjoyed every minute of it although suffering and aching for a good part of it. Most folks could do the route a lot quicker and easier, but stopping to film and compose shots takes a lot of time and adds to an already long distance day.
One thing I did learn from the trip is to take a lot higher energy snacks to help boost my energy levels as I did not take nearly enough to eat for the amount of effort required as it did make me feel a bit ill at times.
Trip info below
38 Miles of walking with lots of ascent and decent. Not including back and forth for camera and filming shots. Munro tops reached below. Start and end at A93 Glenshee car park.
