I tried backpacking and catching my food at camp for the first time! Earlier this year I tried a bushcraft and survival challenge where I practiced survival and self reliance skills, and in this video I wanted to take the logical next step to try catching my dinner on a backpacking trip right from the wilderness where I was camping! My first ever attempt at catch and cook! With my new fishing rod, and other fishing gear, I headed out backpacking to Sheep Lake in the Hells Canyon National Recreation Area of Idaho to see if I could catch a fish! This was a fantastic backpacking adventure, but were the fish biting or did I have to resort to my back-up dinner? Watch the video to see! 😉 🐟

Bread recipe -
100 grams flour (3.5 oz)
74 grams water (3 fl. oz.)
6 grams oil (1/4 oz)
2.4 grams salt (pinch)
3 grams yeast (half a packet)
Combine oil, water and flour in Ziploc. Squeeze bag until ingredients are mixed. Let sit 30 mins. Add salt and yeast and mix again. Dough will be mixed when it’s not sticking to inside of the bag. Let sit overnight in sleeping bag or warm place.
