My bronze Paiste Powercrash, quite a thick and heavy cymbal, had become unusable, due to a crack in the outer region. A crack in a cymbal totally diminishes its sound and also tends to grow bigger and uglier if you keep playing it without containing it. This is my first attempt ever at fixing a cracked cymbal. It could have failed miserably, but in fact I'm happy with the result, even though by now I have gotten better at it, using a multitool. Perhaps the hole I made in it could have been a little smaller and better shaped, but the crash sounds awesome again and there's no more risk of further cracking.
