Sara chose to use all batiks when she made the Attic Treasures quilt. She discusses how to layer the fabrics and shows how to mark them for sewing. Stitching down the marked lines and cutting in between them creates half square triangles, which Sara then turns into hourglass units by stacking them, marking again, sewing on those new lines, and once more cutting them in half. When all nine of the required units are created, it's time to lay them out in rows and join the rows to make the complete quilt block. Sara also discusses how to lay out the blocks to create the full quilt.
