It was finally time to visit Taiwan. It took many years to prepare my bucket list and I was blown away by how incredible the food, people and nature is in this beautiful island nation. During my trip through Taiwan I will be covering the cities Taipei, Beitou, Jiufen, Tainan and Kaohsiung. You will be convinced as to why Taiwan left a lasting impression on me.
I hopped on a 16 hour non-stop flight with Eva Air to Taiwan from Toronto, Canada. We were the last flight to leave Toronto Pearson Airport at 1:45am. #EVAAIR is known for having high standards, even in economy class I was treated like royalty with a fancy menu and advanced entertainment system. My favorite movie on this flight was Teiichi: Battle of Supreme High
Upon arrival at Taiwan Taoyuan Airport I was picked up by a private driver and tour guide who eventually dropped me of at Palais de Chine right across Taipei Central Station. Taiwan has a complicated history and difficult political climate so I rather reserve those details for another video.
