Do Jehovah's Witnesses really read this chapter in "my book of bible stories" ?
Jehovah chose to do a miracle, to destroy the wall of Jericho so the inhabitants could be destroyed.
Would it not be a better miracle to let the inhabitants fall asleep peacefully? Would not a loving god come up with a better miracle then a brutal military miracle? If the people of Jericho had done something wrong, would it not be better to tell them what they have done wrong and what they would do instead.
Well acording to most Christians, and Jehovah Witnesses in perticular, God was mostly interested in the Gold, Silver, Copper and Iron (?!)
Jehovahs focus was not on how to minimize the suffering of the children of Jericho, his focus was to enrich Joshua. (Joshua was the guy who spoke to god and wrote the book)
I will come back soon with a rebutal of the september JW broadcasting. But as you can see, I am busy preparing for the baby
