There is a version of this worth taking seriously. My body, my choice. The clinical dilemma is real: if a patient is taking this no matter what, you keep seeing them and monitor what you can. But self-determination in medicine already has a name, informed consent, and the word doing the work is informed. You can refuse anything. What you do not have is a right to a decision made on information nobody has generated yet. When both sides of the scale are blank, that is a coin flip dressed up as autonomy.
