My Awesome Agriculture Heritage Plantation Tour In Miches, Dominican Republic By Amstar Part 1
My wife and I were staying at Secrets Playa Esmeralda in Miches, Dominican Republic, and while she was in a meeting, I was able to go on an Amstar tour listed as the "Dominican Republic's Organic Cacao Plantation Tour". It's a three-part tour, that started at an exotic fruit and medicinal plant plantation called Rancho Dona Teresa, where you will walk through lush fields, and see how a variety of tropical produce grows. Learn about the traditional uses of local medicinal herbs, making it the perfect time to connect with the land. Then, we went to an organic cacao plantation, where we saw every step of the chocolate-making process. And finally, we had a short stop in the city of Miches, and then returned to the resort. This video is about the first part of the tour at the farm, which was very fun and interesting, and we had a great guide named Clemente...knowledgeable, funny, and personable! I really enjoyed this tour, and so did the whole group. If you're in the beautiful area of Miches in the Dominican Republic, this would be a great tour to go on...fun and educational!
