In today’s video, I’m exploring some “new” synth engines for Mutable Instruments Plaits, featured on the algorithm list of Plaits Palette.

Plaits Palette is a tool that allows you to create custom firmware for the classic macro oscillator, and I was pleasantly surprised to discover a whole load of synth engines in there that I’d never tried before.

There’s an eclectic mix in the video, from circuit-bent toys and 808 percussion to stylish harmonies and even a crazy digital trumpet, all running through my modular effects and accompanied by the ever-banging KO II drum machine.
