So you might have heard of this new game called "Helltaker." It is a short, free, indie, game made by Vanripper in which you: travel down to hell, solve puzzles, and collect cute demons.
I have been a big fan of Vanripper's work so I was happy to see them put out new things. I thought the aesthetic and style was really cool so I wanted to make my own spin on it.
For some reason I thought about making a boss theme for Eris, who is the widely accepted rule 63 version of Discord from MLP.
I drew inspiration from the general style and listened to the music in the game by Mittsies, specifically 'Vitality' to make something that I thought might fit in without copying anything.
I wanted to keep things chaotic and hectic and also utilize the harpsichord because it seemed to personify the classy chaos I wanted to depict.
I am still vastly inexperienced when it comes to electronic music and an amature at best when it comes to music @_@ so I hope I at least did it some justice.
Speaking of people doing things justice, the real superstar of this project was DrMedrick, whom i commissioned the thumbnail art from. Doesn't it just look fantastic. I think they captured the feel of the aesthetic but retained their own style in the interpretation.
And thanks to Vylet, TCB, Never last standing and Darius for critiquing my mix. T_T
