Lol I 1cc'd Maniac before Original. I'm weird. xD
Maniac is the second of the game's three difficulties, the other two being Original (easiest) and Ultra (BY FAR hardest). Maniac isn't actually harder than Original if you ask me; it has a different scoring system and more bullets, but they're generally slower, to balance it out. Bosses and large enemies also have (somewhat) different patterns. Same goes for Ultra, except that has the same scoring system as Maniac, and it's WAY harder. (I can only reach the stage 2 midboss at the moment... lololol)
Was a pretty good run. Stage 3 went kind of poorly compared to how it normally goes, but I did well on stages 4 and 5. On a run before that I almost NMNB'd stage 5's entire stage portion; I had no bombs though. This time I had bombs, so I didn't take risks!
Next up is Original of course. I should 1cc it any time soon.
Can't say it enough though, this game itself and its PC port are so good :D It sure was a great decision by CAVE to release on Steam.
I'm enjoying Mushi and its epicness a whole lot ^_^ Its fun stages and bosses, gameplay in general, absolutely beautiful OST and nice graphics too! :)
Once I manage Original I'll have Novice Ultra and of course the real Ultra left to be 1cc'd... although I don't think Ultra will happen. xD
I will give it more tries though; see how far I can get.
