President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has donated UGX 20 million to the Mothers’ Union in Buganda to support their efforts in fighting poverty and improving family welfare.
The President also commended the organisation for its contribution to communities, particularly in empowering women, improving household incomes and promoting responsible parenting.
Representing President Museveni at the closing ceremony of the Mothers’ Union conference at Kijjabwemi Secondary School in West Buganda Diocese, Masaka City Woman MP Justine Nameere urged women to support government efforts to educate young people and fight corruption.
