Where to even start...Oh, right. Today is a very special someone's birthday. Alaina, seriously...what do I write here?
First of all, I hope you have the happiest of happy birthdays! I cannot think of anyone more deserving of a joyful, successful, peaceful, wonderful day. And I am MANIFESTING the BEST possible year for you. I WILL speak it into existence.
Time for me to get all in my feelings...look away if you don't want to listen to a grown woman turn into an absolute cheeseball mess.
A couple of years ago, Alaina started calling us kindred souls on account of us both shipping Kolvina, and we both laughed in a sort of 'isn't that cute?' kind of way. How could we ever have predicted just how true it would be?
Alaina, you make me believe in platonic soulmates. Truly, you do. (And that fate is cruel to have decided to drop us into life so far from each other...) Our conversations are always so special to me - whether it's about the important things or the seemingly insignificant ones. You're just one of my all time favourite people, and I just don't have the words to express how much you mean to me. I think I'll leave this off at thank you, because I'm already teary eyed... Just thank you for everything and for being the absolute wonder that is you.
You're my kindred soul, and I think we maybe even outdo the namesake on that one; after all, I bet Kol and Davina don't have OTPS that share a wedding anniversary...

By the way, did you guess the song correctly? I knew I *had* to vid something related to Clois for your birthday (I'm still not confident enough with their scenes to attempt a proper Clois video...yet), and what better than their (almost) wedding song?

Okay,
So, this was supposed to be just a light hearted, fun little celebratory video to upload this week before S4 of TLK comes out...I got sidetracked (catching up with the books), and unmotivated by how hard these two - and generally this story - is to vid.
I always cause myself problems with my fancasts, but this story really takes the cake tbh - even with what will hopefully be new, useable Finan scenes from S4, thereβs such a lack of Thyri/Cecily scenes to use. Iβve tried recasting (my brain BROKE trying to make a little Aetari/Riven video), but Iβm too attached, and no one else feels even close to being right. So...yay. Please, just pretend you canβt see where I gave up and just curled into a ball?
Anyway, Iβm sure youβre all familiar with these two by now. Probably too familiar, because I sort of love them waaay too much, but hereβs a quick synopsis since itβs been five months since I last uploaded a video just about them;
Scoro is Corvuss childhood best friend, and has been Aetaris favourite person in the world since she was six. Over time, their mutual affection for one another morphed into something closer to love - though these feelings were never acted upon. After Aetaris marriage to Solemn, Scoro remains loyally at Corvuss side, nursing his broken heart. Over time, however, he begins to realise that he may be on the wrong side, and that Aetari is not the only one who has been manipulated by her brother.
As with any video involving Scoro, this ones for his best cheerleader; Julia! Thank you for putting up with my rambling - in general, and especially about these two. Youre the best and Ill never deserve your friendship.
