In a surprising moment, Sonny Banks became the first man to ever knock down Cassius Clay in a professional fight. However, Ali recovered quickly, took control, and ultimately won the fight by technical knockout in the 4th round. This match was an early indication of Ali’s resilience and rising talent on the road to greatness.
