SASA / ささ (MSX)
(C) 1983 Mass Tael Ltd.
SASA is a robot that flies backwards by the recoil of his phaser. His mission is to penetrate the arsenal, destroy the power generator, collect power packs in the water, and engage in a battle with aliens in space. How much of his mission will you be able to accomplish?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes:
======
- Mass Tael was a game company based in Hong Kong, making games for the Spectravideo and MSX.
- In 1985 ASCII Corporation released Astro Robo SASA (アストロロボSASA) for the Famicom, an expanded reimagination of the MSX original. One of the features it adds is a simultaneous 2-player mode, where the second player controls the pink robot NANA.

(C) 1988 ASCII
NOTICE: This longplay uses PSG for the music. The game does have FM support, but for whatever reason it doesnt detect the internal FM of later MSX models (also known as MSX-MUSIC). You need to have a separate FM cartridge on Slot 2, or play a fan-patched version that fixes this issue. [MSX2] Penguin-kun Wars 2 - Longplay](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/wj8XLCZ81g8/mqdefault.jpg)

Notes:
- Only some of the warp shortcuts were used in this playthrough. This was done on purpose to get the following special items: Blue Boots (Stage 6), Priest Robe (Stage 9), Red Shoes (Stage 13), Crossed Tiara (Stage 14), and Armor (Stage 16).
- To get the good ending, you can only pause the game a certain number of times. The number of times are 1, 5, 9... (keep adding 4 to the count). If you get a game over, the counter resets. This is a stupid mechanic and I bet it was Hideo Kojimas idea, who was the assistant director for this game (uncredited). ;)
- Heres how to get the special items:
STAGE 6 (Blue Boots): Get Bracelet from Shop/Santa, then jump-catch 5 fish from the air.
STAGE 9 (Priest Robe): Jump right before Distance 300 to spawn the Wings. Catch the Wings and immediately press jump 10+ times.
STAGE 13 (Red Shoes): In the beginning of the stage, keep hugging the left edge for multiple seconds.
STAGE 14 (Crossed Tiara): Fall down into any of the holes, then press Left and Right.
STAGE 16 (Armor): Pause the game and in the pause screen press Up, Right, Down, Left, then unpause. [MSX] Penguin Adventure - Longplay](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/wlj3bSEfSQs/mqdefault.jpg)

Back to the Future / バック・トゥ・ザ・フューチャー (MSX)
(C) 1985 Pony Canyon
Developed by Makoto Ichinoseki
- -
Notes:
- The game is running in the intended 60Hz speed, in case anyone is wondering (since its a Japanese developed game). Most videos of this game online are running on a Western MSX, hence the slower/wrong 50Hz speed.
- Ive made a detailed guide about all of the games mechanics over here: https://msx.org/forum/msx-talk/software/guide-to-back-to-the-future-msx (Includes a map showing all the hidden grape and apple locations)
- Makoto Ichinoseki also developed this game for the PC-88. It is undumped and almost no one knows that it exists. Heres what the game looks like, as seen on the advert from LOGiN magazine (1986-4): https://i.imgur.com/TIbRuPn.png
- Pony Canyon published another Back to the Future game in 1986 for MSX2, PC-88, FM-7, and Sharp MZ. Its called Back to the Future Adventure and it was developed by Data West. Its a visual novel and uses digitized pictures from the movie. [MSX] Back to the Future - Longplay](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/xRts9Ueh9Ik/mqdefault.jpg)
