EDIT: I decided to go on, play more riskily and spend more lives and bombs on graze, and scored 72,774,594,488. But then I discovered a new strat, so I went on to do more attempts... and on the next good one, I scored 114,994,208,403, almost TWICE this video's score! Run is linked to above.
Well, I should have pushed this highscore of mine quite far into the sky now. :)
The game and my strategies to handle this stage will be explained in detailed annotations throughout the run.
This score is automatically the WR because I have no competition (sadly.. the game is fun but no one knows about it ;_;), so the fact that it's a WR means pretty much nothing. Oh well. The score is probably a good score and that's what matters! c:
I've done the major stuff right and from this point on I'll only be able to make minor improvements, i.e. get more graze on the patterns that barely give any graze and don't matter nearly as much, as well as survive better (not have derpdeaths) so I can spend more lives and bombs on graze. In this run I was playing it quite safely in general, I was trying not to risk losing resources so I would have enough left to timeout the final spell. I wouldn't dare doing that with 0/0...
Happy with this run; back when I got 46 billion I didn't manage to reach 60 billion, which I knew I had the potential for.
