Watch to see some of the exciting events and activities taking place during the MRC Harwell open day as part of the MRC Festival of Medical Research.
Inspired by the MRC’s Centenary Open Week in 2013, the first annual MRC Festival of #Medical Research took place from 18 to 26 June 2016 and has continued annually since.
The festival sees #scientists from #research establishments, including MRC units, centres and institutes, showcasing their research through events and activities around the UK.
The MRC Festival takes place in England, Scotland, Wales and Africa where a wide range of free public activities involving scientists from research establishments, including MRC units, centres and institutes, will showcase MRC-funded research.
MRC Festival activities include open days, stalls in retail locations, workshops, interactive seminars and quizzes. Some are open to the public, either as drop-in sessions or by booking a free place in advance, while others are designed for a specifically invited audience, such as schools or patient groups.
