I KNOW THIS IS LIKE THE HUNDREDTH PART IN A ROW FOCUSING ON ALEXANDER BUT I CANT HELP IT LOL his story makes me feel emotions 💔

This takes place during the first few chapters of ESS, when Alex is clearing out his office after admitting that he falsified all of his accomplishments in the agency. He’s sorta mourning the loss of his job, his position, and how people thought of him- as the epitome of what a spy should be. But he’s also mourning the connections he had with his family, before letting the whole ‘’cheating my way to the top of the CIA in order to make my dad proud of me’’ thing get in the way. Love u alex but for the first few books u were a MESS lol
