As requested by almondberry827, I'll be covering the remaining movements of Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 20 with the Super Mario 64 soundfont.
This concerto, especially in this first movement, is primarily known for its obviously dark and turbulent nature, in a way that is pretty uncommon in Mozart.
Even during the more relaxed episodes, such as with the secondary theme (0:56), the lighter tone never lingers too long or achieves true joy.
From 10:45 until 13:23, there is a cadenza, an extensive solo passage for the piano alone. The cadenza played in this video was composed by none other than Ludwig van Beethoven, a fervent admirer of this concerto.
The cadenza increases the dramatic power of the material even more and runs longer than many other cadenzas from Mozart's time. For these reasons, it has been criticized as rather self-indulgent and too much of a departure from Mozart's style.
Personally, though, I find that very stylistic difference to be quite fascinating.
